To all of my friends of the Cross and of our Lord Jesus Christ,

So much is being done in our present time to dethrone Jesus and to eliminate the Judeo/Christian value system here in America. Some political leaders are declaring that America is no longer a Christian nation. This present president has said, "If we went by Jesus Sermon on the Mount, our military couldn't even function." He obviously didn't understand that we wouldn't need a military if the world would follow that teaching. We need a military because those teachings of Jesus have been set aside. Greed and hate and other selfish interests have crowded out the truth, both by Americans and other nations of the world.

THE PLUMB LINE

In Amos 7:8 God said, "I will set a plumb line in the midst of my people-." A plumb line was a strong cord with a heavy weight attached at the bottom end. All horizontal and vertical measurements by the carpenters were determined by that plumb line.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

The Ten Commandments were given to God's people as a spiritual and moral plumb line. The entire word of God, Old Covenant and New Testament (i.e.; the bible) is our plumb line to guide us in all our processes, both personal and governmental. If what we do does not align with the plumb line it results in vertical and horizontal inconsistency with right and wrong. We can trust and depend on no decisions made by anyone who does not honor the plumb line. "There is a way that seems right to a man but the ends thereof are the ways of death," (Pr. 14:12). If man's judgments don't align with the plumb line,-guess who is wrong! "Let God be true and every man a liar." (Rom 3:4). David understood that when he said, "Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against God."(Ps 119:11). And yet again "thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light unto my path."(Ps. 119:105) When men don't follow the plumb line they "know not at what they stumble."(Pr. 14:19) Whether we believe it or not the plumb line always remains correct. The plumb line is established by God and will not change. No man is smart enough to disregard the plumb line and get it straight. When our nation sets aside the Ten Commandments and makes it illegal to pray in the name of Jesus in public prayers and classrooms, it is safe to determine that our nation won't get anything right again. Further construction will be out of alignment and the building will weaken and finally topple. All of the arguments, pro and con, republican or democrat, and the multiplied millions of dollars spent about the rules for governing, (i.e.; health care, war, cap and trade and the rights of different categories of people, etcetera) is never going to get it right without observing the plumb line. Any normal, sane, God fearing person can understand that. Our nation's leaders and lawmakers can no more eliminate God than they could stop the sunrise and sunset. We only make it hard on ourselves when we "kick against the pricks" (plumb line), (Acts 9:5). The answer to our national problems is not determined by which party occupies the White House or who holds the power in congress. We Christians know that the answer is in regaining the favor of God Almighty. When we are measuring by the plumb line God will make to grow what we sow. Please review 11Chronicles 7:14. A RECENT NEWS EVENT

Jesus said "if I be lifted up I will draw all men to me"

In light of the fact that God says He exalts one and sets up another, I have been praying that He would cause the name of Jesus to be lifted up among us once again, and put down those who have sought to have him eliminated from our government. Read Psalm 2, "-the heathen rage-and take counsel together, against the Lord and--his anointed, (Jesus) to break their bands asunder, and cast them away from us." But God, "sits in the heavens and laughs," and declares that He "will have them in derision" (confusion). He continues in verse 6 saying, "I have set my King upon my holy hill." If you were watching the news a few days ago you may have seen what I saw. The president of the USA went to Denmark to use his influence before the committee who would choose the location on the world globe for the highly coveted 2016 Olympic Games. Much money was spent along with some help from some high profile personnel to obtain this event for the city of Chicago. Chicago was the first city eliminated and the city of Rio de Janeiro in the country of Brazil was selected. The first picture presented on the news announcing this choice was taken from behind a huge statue of Jesus in the foreground with the city of Rio de Janiero in the background. High on a mountain, sharing no space with anything else, and overlooking this great city, stands an all white 125 foot statue of Jesus Christ the Redeemer, with His arms invitingly outstretched for the entire world to see. "IF I BE LIFTED UP--." He appears to be saying "Whosoever will let him come to me-- and I will give him rest." For the next six years, while in preparation for the 2016 games to come to Brazil, this will be the most photographed, picturesque image in that entire region by the news agencies and photographers.

WHAT A COINCIDENCE?

WOW!! What a coincidence? While it is no comfort to me to see our nation's leaders fail, I do certainly rejoice to see Jesus exalted and lifted up for all of the world to behold. "Kiss the son, lest He (God) be angry--blessed are all they who put their trust in Him."

We don't need God to be angry with this our beloved nation and allow us "to perish --and turn us out of the way." There is no one man or group of men, or devil in hell or out of hell that can stop the church when we seek God's face and pray. Will you join with me and pray that God would continue to lift up Jesus and put down his opponents. If you love Jesus you will want him in every part of your life, including the government. Separating God from government is so obviously declaring rejection of God, and is filled with hatred and animosity toward Him who sent his son to die to save us. I hope you agree!
